Multi-Talented Cows

Today I am going to write about our good friend, the cow. It isn't that I know any cows personally, but I am a fan of ice cream, and ice cream comes from the milk they provide. Cows, for the most part, are a friendly group. They spend most of their lives hanging around a pasture eating grass. When an animal can turn grass into something as tasty as ice cream and cheese, a dog has to admire their talent. They are easy to chat with as long as you can master saying moo, and there are breeds of dogs that enjoy herding them wherever the farmer wants them to go. Yes, life would be a lot more boring without delicious ice cream that I enjoy every night so the next time you see a cow when you are out shopping or enjoying a night on the town, be sure and tell them how much you appreciate them. For those of you who doubt that you would see them "out on the town", here is a dancing cow video for you to enjoy.

Royal Wedding in Bhutan

There has been another royal wedding, but this time it was in a country in the Himalayas called Bhutan. The King there who is known as the "Dragon King" got married, and his new wife is very beautiful. I thought it was a very nice wedding. It was like one of the weddings you read about in a fairy tale only this one is in real life. I have to admit that I don't know much about Bhutan, but I think it would be a nice place to visit. I bet my pal, Raja, the shih tzu, has been there. Raja goes all over the place, and has written a book about the history of the shih tzu called, The Journey of the Shih Tzu. Anyway, I think it was a very nice wedding, and I hope the couple live a long and happy life together.

Since I am discussing a country in Asia, my human happened to be watching the movie, Kung Pow last night which is about martial arts. I found one scene very disturbing. Most of us think of cows as being nice, quiet animals, but this video that I'm sharing shows a whole different side of cows. I thought I would warn my readers to be careful not to annoy any cow you come into contact with since cows can be quite nasty if provoked. I hope this keeps my readers safe in future meetings with cows. To see the video, go to this link:

Cow Gives Milk Away!

I always try to find interesting topics to write about in my blog. Today I am writing about a news item from Virginia that happened at a Walmart there. A man dressed as a cow managed to steal 26 gallons of milk from Walmart. He crawled out with it, and was giving it away afterward so I guess he must be the "cow version" of Robin Hood. He was apprehended at a nearby McDonalds which seems like an odd place for a cow to choose eat since they are serving cows there-and I'm not talking about serving the cows burgers--the cows are the burgers. I am wondering if he had help. I bet there were some other animals waiting in the parking lot perhaps driving a get away dairy truck. I bet some chickens were involved. They are part of the bird family and I have been warning the humans that birds steal snow which is why there are so many birds in tropical areas. As usual, Walmart has its usual share of odd looking people so I guess no one noticed a cow shopping in the store. You would think that someone would have noticed a cow before he managed to steal 26 gallons of milk. Another thing comes to mind--where was the greeter? Walmart usually has a greeter at the door whose main qualification for the job it to be at least 150 years old. Perhaps the stress of saying hello to everyone was too much for the greeter that day and he or she had to take a break.

In another news story, a Nascar driver, Kyle Busch, has lost his drivers license after being caught going 128 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone. His lawyer feels he was "picked on" because he is a celebrity, but I think a Nascar driver would have more sense than to go that fast in public. Don't they get in enough accidents on the race track? Besides, they let him have a driver's license and I can't get one because I am a dog. That is the real injustice--that dogs are not allowed to have a license to drive.

I hope everyone is having a nice day, and I'll write more tomorrow.

Romeo, Romeo, Moo for Me Romeo

I have uncovered an interesting new twist on Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet. It seems that Shakespeare changed the story to make it more interesting to the humans. The name, Romeo, is an anagram for Mooer. Since cows moo, that means that Romeo was not a human, but he was a cow. Juliet has the word, lie in her name, which means that she was a liar. She lied to her parents about Romeo and when they found out, they got mad, and forbid her to see him again. They were upset because he was a cow and not a bull. Of course, the kids didn't listen and they continued to see each other without her parent's consent. Eventually, they ran off and joined a farm, where they lived happily ever after. It is a shame that Shakespeare got the story so wrong. I guess he wanted it to be more dramatic. The next time you see the play, remember that Romeo and Juliet did live happily ever after just like they were supposed to. In fact, they were the couple that inspired the story of Beauty and the Beast.

My New Film Release

I was watching a trailer for that new movie that is coming to theatres soon, Sex in the City 2. In this movie, the ladies will be travelling to another part of the world where they can look for expensive shoes, complain, and solve crimes. Okay, they only did the crime solving on one episode, but it was the best episode of the show ever filmed. Because I don't like shoes on my paws in the first place and there was no promises of crime solving, I skipped seeing the first movie, but I do think if they made a movie with the crime solving unit, I would go and see it. In the episode I'm discussing, a pair of shoes was stolen, and they called in the special unit of the police, SFU (Shoe Finding Unit). The purpose of this unit is to solve all crimes involving stolen shoes. These humans aren't the happiest of the humans because their overtime pay is very limited. Anyway, they put that wonderful crime scene tape around the area where the shoes were stolen. Then they went to a normal shoe store and brought in a pair of shoes like most humans wear and told the horse face girl that they had recovered her shoes. She couldn't tell the difference so she was happy, and she threw herself a party--I think it was an I'm not married or I'm not having a baby or I found my shoes party so that she would have her friends bring her gifts. I thought perhaps if she resented giving gifts to her friends so much on their special occasions, she should just quit buying them gifts, I suppose buying gifts and then complaining about buying them makes a lot more sense to a human. To a dog, it is insane. I don't care how much I love my pal, it does not mean I will be giving him a dingo bone because it is mine, all mine.

The good news in this blog is that I am going to film my own film which will be released from the Demon Flash Bandit studio. It will be called Sex in the Country and it follows the love story of two couples: a bull and a cow and the other couple: a rooster and a hen There will be a lot less shopping and complaining. The animals actually like each other which is what most audiences hope for from couples who are in love.
