Christmas for a Celebrity Dog

For those of you who are wondering what Christmas is like for a celebrity dog, I am going to tell you about my holiday. I got up earlier than usual since it was Christmas and a dog has gifts under the tree to open. I was up at 11:00 am which is early for this dog. At noon, nothing was going on because the humans were waiting for my brother to get here. This was not acceptable because there were gifts under the tree with my name on them. Seriously, the to: said Demon Flash Bandit. Anyway, my patience with the humans ran out, I yelled Christmas. For those of you who doubt that I said Christmas, then you have not lived around Siberian huskies. We can talk human if we want to. Then I got under the tree and started helping myself to all the gifts. I might add that both Angel Zoom Smokey and myself had not bothered the tree up until this point because we are both good dogs, and the tree is artificial so the branches on it aren't really sticks which makes bothering them a lot less fun than if it were a real tree. Anyway, I got dingo bones, medium and large rawhide bones, beggin strips, and toys. We got lots of great stuff from Santa Paws not to mention all the gifts we received earlier from some of our doggy pals-like bones from Coco Rose and Puff and Zukes jerky from our pal, Raja. We just didn't wait for Christmas to eat those treats! Evidently, Angel Zoom Smokey's plan to deernap Rudolph worked better than I expected. I admit--I was a bit worried, but Angel Zoom Smokey was right this time! Santa Paws was much more generous to get his red nosed reindeer back! Our humans had a nice Christmas too. I hope everyone reading this had a nice holiday, and I hope everyone has a happy and prosperous New Year!!!

Royal Wedding in Bhutan

There has been another royal wedding, but this time it was in a country in the Himalayas called Bhutan. The King there who is known as the "Dragon King" got married, and his new wife is very beautiful. I thought it was a very nice wedding. It was like one of the weddings you read about in a fairy tale only this one is in real life. I have to admit that I don't know much about Bhutan, but I think it would be a nice place to visit. I bet my pal, Raja, the shih tzu, has been there. Raja goes all over the place, and has written a book about the history of the shih tzu called, The Journey of the Shih Tzu. Anyway, I think it was a very nice wedding, and I hope the couple live a long and happy life together.

Since I am discussing a country in Asia, my human happened to be watching the movie, Kung Pow last night which is about martial arts. I found one scene very disturbing. Most of us think of cows as being nice, quiet animals, but this video that I'm sharing shows a whole different side of cows. I thought I would warn my readers to be careful not to annoy any cow you come into contact with since cows can be quite nasty if provoked. I hope this keeps my readers safe in future meetings with cows. To see the video, go to this link:

Hank the Cow Dog and Journey of the Shih Tzu

I've got some fantastic news for my readers. There is a book series out about Hank the Cow Dog which were written by John R. Erickson and Gerald L. Holmes. I had never heard of Hank the Cow Dog until today, but now I have to order his books. A book about a dog has to be a winner! For those of my readers who might be interested in the books, they can be purchased on amazon and here is the address:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Hank+the+Cowdog&x=21&y=17
I'm sure I will enjoy these books.

Speaking of cool dog books, my pal, Raja, has published a book called The Journey of the Shih Tzu. It can be purchased from Raja's blog, http://www.traveldogbooks.com/. It can also be purchased on amazon.com. If you decide to purchase it and you do it from Raja's blog, be sure and tell them Demon Flash Bandit sent you. Raja is not only my friend, but my photo is in Raja's book and who wouldn't want to have my photo to enjoy? My human said I'm not supposed to say stuff like that, but I'm a dog, and a dog speaks the truth.

I went to McDonalds yesterday and got dinner--2 McDoubles, and they were so nice they gave me little tiny dog biscuits which I love. I am such a dainty small dog that the big bones are hard for me to eat. Yeah, that is kind of a joke since I'm actually a medium size dog and the humans say I have "gator teeth", but I still love those tiny little bones. They make a dog feel like a puppy again, and felling like a puppy is nice.

My Pal's Book and Three Dog Night

My friend Raja, a shih tzu, has written a book featuring the history and story of the shih tzu breed. This book can be ordered from the site, http://www.traveldogbooks.com/ You can read more about the book on the site. By the way, my photo is in the book so I'm wondering if I am going to have to wear sunglasses to avoid being mobbed by pupparazzi.

I decided to watch a video concert performed by Three Dog Night. When 3 dogs make up a band, you know it has to be great. I am wondering why they became such good pals with that bullfrog named Jeremiah. I have never met a frog, but frogs don't seem to be the kind of species with which a dog would want to be friends. The last time I watched one of the dog's concerts, I was a bit disappointed because I didn't see the dogs. I suppose they were taking a Milkbone break. Last night I watched a different video, and they were 3 dogs short---AGAIN!!! This time I stayed awake to make sure the dogs came back from their break, and they never did! The band was just another bunch of humans--no doubt trying to get an audience by pretending to be dogs. I wrote about doggy impawsters recently. I suppose it must be more of a problem than I realized. Angel Zoom Smokey and myself are in a band called the Howling Huskies, and you can be sure that it is an all dog band--no humans are used in the making of our music. We happen to have very high standards. I think Spiderman summed it up when he said, "with great 'paw'er comes great re'paw'nsibility.

I would like to mention that it is National Mutt Day. All dogs are special--whether pedigreed or not.
