A dog gets bored doing the same thing everyday. Although I do enjoy my naps, sometimes a dog needs to get up and do something different which is why I decided to go fishing. Fishing is quiet, and you get to sit around on the shore or in a boat, and you hold a rod in your paw, and wait for a fish to bite the bait. Having learned a few things from experience, I plan to share those tips with my readers. First of all, do not use hamburgers as bait. I can't say that fish won't eat them, but why would you feed something tasty like that to the fish when you can eat them yourself? I would rather have a hamburger than fish anytime! Unless you are a dog who enjoys water, try not to fall into the water. Being wet is something that many dogs do not enjoy--including ones like myself who don't care for baths. Remember, just because you are "fishing" does not mean that you can't leave the rod temporarily if you see something interesting like a squirrel. Squirrels expect to be chased by a dog, and would have hurt feelings if you sat there fishing once you have spotted one. If you see a black and white cat with a stripe down its back, you can go home with an interesting smell which won't be appreciated by the humans. Don't worry about it. To a dog, a smell is a smell and all are interesting....chase the striped cat too. You can get back to the fishing when you are done with the chase. If anyone is playing ball in a nearby park, be sure and get involved, no self respecting dog can resist a game of ball. Chances are good that you will have a human with you anyway. Let them do the work of fishing. You are a dog and as such, should not be expected to work. I am going to share a link with you about a man who has taken his dog with him on fishing trips. Keep in mind that his veiwpoint is that of a human; and is therefore, stupid.

Another Injustice to Dogs!
Normally, I am not a fan of birds, and I am constantly warning all my readers that birds are evil creatures who cause global warming by stealing snow. However, my hatred of birds does not apply to penguins largely because these birds don't steal snow because they live in areas with lots of snow and they love snow as much as I do. They are also cute and I love the way they waddle around when they are on land. There is a website set up by Disney that is called Club Penguin. I assume it is for children. I am not a member, but evidently, when you join, you can play games and generally have fun on the site. There is a membership fee and since I'm not a member, I have no idea if the site is worth the cost, but this dog does love all the lovely snow on the site. My big question is why is there no game site for dogs? I'd consider joining a husky club or a dog club. It could have games like "chase the squirrel", and "find the treasure in the garbage". Sure, it would be more fun actually doing those things, but when a dog is stuck in the house and can't enjoy chasing a squirrel in person, it would be a fun alternative. I think dogs are often left out of fun activities like that because the humans think we aren't intelligent enough to be on the computer. Excuse me, but how many children can write a blog like I am writing and yet they have sites for them. All us dogs know that it takes human children a long time to even learn to walk and yet dogs are treated like we aren't smart. It is an injustice against dogs as usual, and this dog has to bark out about such injustices!

Dogs Have to Bark
Today's blog is about an incident that happened in Mason, Ohio. A police officer, Bradley Walker, was at a bar investigating a car crash. His K9 dog was with him, and was sitting in the police car. It seems that Officer Bradley Walker returned to the car to find the police dog was barking uncontrollably. Ryan James Stevens, age 25, was barking at the police dog. Officer Bradley Walker then gave Stevens a ticket for "teasing a police dog". Stevens claimed the dog started it. I got in touch with the police dog for a personal interview, this is how it actually happened. I'm not sure why Officer Walker didn't ask for the dog's version of the story in the first place, but you know how stupid the humans can be when dogs are involved. It turns out that the dog did start barking, but he was merely saying hello, and stay away from my rawhide bone which I have with me in the car. Obviously, Stevens was one of those humans who has a thing for rawhide bones owned by other dogs, so he started barking out all sorts of insults at the dog. He called him a cat. He told him that he is no better than a bird. He even told him that squirrels are smarter than him. He said he was going to steal the rawhide bone. Of course, the police dog had to bark a few things back like, "you know I'm a police dog, and you are going to get a ticket, you stupid human". As you can see, the dog was right. Dogs don't tend to bark without good reason. It could be the wind blowing a leaf or food on the table, but we always have a good reason to bark. The humans should know that.
