I happen to like the television show, Modern Family, so I was annoyed to see in the news today that some of the humans are upset because the little girl on the show starts saying a "bad word", and it gets bleeped out so that you can't hear it. There are only two reasons for being upset about the little girl saying a word that you can't actually hear. Reason 1: You are curious, and want to know what the word really is. I really think that is no reason to get upset over the entire show. I know the humans are curious by nature, but the studio might be saving the word for the dvd or, and this is probably the case, the word is never said, but it is bleeped out for effect. Reason 2 is that some of the humans are upset over profanity being used by a child. Evidently, these humans have not visited a school lately because the kids nowadays are far more versed in it than those of past generations. Besides, as I said earlier, chances are the bleep is for effect. It is a shame that many of the humans aren't smart enough to understand this concept. I might add that, for those of us who watch Modern Family (and my humans have it on dvd), the show is not a 1950's type show so it you are upset by profanity, I would suggest not watching it in the first place. It always amazes me that the humans do not seem to be capable of operating a remote control to turn off the television or change the channel. My humans aren't not geniuses, and they managed to work the television even before they came with remotes. Yes, you actually had to get up and walk across the room to turn the television on or off or to change the channels. Life was so tough back then. I'm glad I live in a more modern era. I personally have not seen the episode in question, but I really hate it when some of the humans want to tell other humans what to watch and how to live. Most of the time, they are also the ones whose own lives are a mess. Maybe they need to mind their own business and fix their own problems.

TV Show: Big Bang Theory
As many of my loyal readers are aware, I am often announcing that birds are evil and should be watched. I can prove my point very easily because whenever spring arrives, the birds are always singing and they sing because they are the ones stealing the snow. They try to claim it is a coincidence, but they aren't fooling me....I know what they are doing. Anyway, Mommy was watching some older episodes of The Big Bang Theory. For those who haven't seen it, it is a television program about 4 intelligent men, and the real major genius in the group is named Sheldon. In this one particular episode, Sheldon needed to make a new friend at work. To do so he went to the bookstore and asked where he could find a book about making friends, (that type of book is in the children's section). He was chatting with a little girl, and she said birds scared her, and Sheldon hates birds too. I'm hoping that the influence of The Big Bang Theory on prime time will make the humans realize what I've been trying to tell them all along and declare all out war on birds!

Pippi Longstocking and Pippa Middleton--Same Human?
Since the royal wedding, the press has been excited over the coverage of Pippa Middleton, Kate Middleton's sister. I thought her name was Pippi Longstocking, but Angel Zoom Smokey told me that Pippi Longstocking is her "stripper name". She wears long stockings that take a while to take off. I don't always believe Angel Zoom Smokey, but since there are photos of her on the Internet dancing in her bra, I have to give Angel Zoom Smokey credit for being right this time. I can't keep from wondering....is this really the family that Great Britain wants to have representing their country? We have humans like that in the United States, but you usually see them on television programs like Cops, where they are being arrested. It sounds like, once again, my pal, the Queen Lady is going to be busy doing damage control.

Mama is Always Right--At least That is What Mama Says
I just finished watching a spoof done by Vicki Lawrence who was dressed as her character, Mama, about the fame recently experienced by Ted Williams, the man who was recently homeless. While it is sad that there are people who are homeless, and I have no problem with Mr. Williams getting some notoriety, she does have a point. He was lucky--and good luck is something that is very good to have. However, he isn't anything special. There are many talented people out there, and most of them aren't homeless. I understand exactly how she feels. This dog loves the television show, Mama's Family, and I like Vicki Lawrence. Many of the programs on television today are so bad that we depend largely on dvds for entertainment around here. There is no way that I am going to sit around watching some human reality show with a bunch of humans who have so many self created problems that us dogs can't understand how the other humans can even watch them and not feel that the whole human race is doomed to stupidity. It makes no sense that a dog of my handsomeness and intelligence--not to mention writing talent doesn't have my own television show or movie. How can so many humans be given that opportunity when they don't deserve it? I don't mind Ted Williams having his chance, and I wish him well; but Mama does have a point. Perhaps if the humans learned that it is a good idea to work to better themselves, maybe the world would be a better place than if they just wait to have things dumped into their laps.

Sometimes Trix are for Tricky Dogs
I was watching television the other day, and I saw a commercial for Trix cereal. It seems a rabbit wanted some of the cereal. When I was a puppy, the humans had a black and white Dutch bunny named Flash that was already 10 years old when I came here. He was a very cool rabbit who preferred Royal Gala apples, and I used to share his rabbit food--particularly his yogurt drops and his dried mangoes. We were close pals. I didn't really understand he was a rabbit. I thought he was a small husky like myself. Anyway, when I saw the Trix rabbit on the commercial, I knew that the Trix cereal must be tasty and delicious if a rabbit wanted it. There were some annoying kids on the commercial telling the rabbit that he couldn't have any Trix because Trix are for kids. I was ready to get on the phone and call the Humane Society to report those naughty children when the rabbit got a taste, and said sometimes they are for tricky rabbits. I'm so glad he did. I made Mommy buy me some Trix because if they are good for a tricky rabbit, I'm sure this dog will love them too.
