Movie Review: The Furriest Tail of Demon Flash Bandit

Today I am going to do a movie review of the movie, The Furriest Tail of Demon Flash Bandit. This movie is, paws down, one of the best movies I have ever seen. In this movie, you get to see my tail in all its beauty and glory. You see it wag, you see it still, you see it held high. The movie is a 5 hour masterpiece which will make all other movies look bad by comparison. This movie stars Demon Flash Bandit, and is written by Demon Flash Bandit. The producer is Demon Flash Bandit and the stunt dog is Phantom Fast Snowman. The movie starts with me admiring my tail in the mirror. It is truly a stunning tail, and the movie goers who have seen it agree with my review. The New York News said, "this is the movie of all ages...a must see!. Sasster and Ebark give it 4 paws up and they said, "we never knew a tail could be so lovely. Gene Sassket said, "this is the movie I have waited to see for my entire life. I watched it and I wanted to watch it again...this is what the Los Angeles reviewer had to say about the movie: GREAT!!! King Frederic Tickleberry, the esteemed movie reviewer in London gave it 17 thumbs up. However, you are here on my blog to see what I have to say, and I give this movie 4 paws up, kisses, a 30 minute tail wag, a high 5 with all 4 paws, and more. I just can't say enough good things about this movie. Demon Flash Bandit, who is new to the big screen, does an fantastic job in this movie. I think he should win a Best Actor Oscar for his performance. I hope I will be seeing more of this young dog in the future. He is so handsome that he can keep audiences happy just looking at him. I think that, if the stuidos have any sense, they will be casting him in many, many more movies in the future. This movie gets a 25,000,000,000out of 10 on the human movie rating scale which means it is the best movie ever made. Be sure and see it when it comes to your local theatre.

Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog

I saw a trailer for a movie today that is being released in Japan called, "Quill: the Life of a Guide Dog". This looks like a great movie, and I hope it will be released in the United States so I can watch it because it has everything that makes a movie great....dogs, puppies, did I mention dogs? For those who would like to see the trailer for the movie, here is the link:

Movie Review: War Horse

I went to see War Horse, and as usual, I am going to share my thoughts on this movie with my readers. The movie takes place during World War 1, and the part of Albert is played by Jeremy Irvine. The star went uncredited because the star was a horse whose name in the movie was Joey. Joey came to live with his family because Albert's dad paid too much for Joey at an auction when he, probably partly due to being drunk, got a little over zealous with bidding which almost caused him to lose his farm. However, Joey came through and saved the farm. However, the father still had to sell him to the British Army because he needed the money. Joey ended up in the British Cavalry, and was soon captured by the Germans. Joey was not treated well, and as a result, I did not like this movie very much. It was bad enough that the studio did not give the horse credit probably to keep him from winning an Oscar, but by the time the movie was over, it made me realize that the humans are always dragging animals into their skirmishes. This dog does not approve. Why not just let the horses negotiate a settlement? I'm sure they have more sense than the humans. The humans even refer to common sense as "horse sense" so even they know that horses are smarter than them. It wasn't exactly a "bad movie", but it was depressing. After seeing that movie, if it were up to me, I would have cancelled World War 1. It didn't look like a good era to live through.

Words of Wisdom From Yogi Who is Smarter than the Average Bear

The humans went to see the 3D version of Yogi Bear yesterday. Yogi is a talking bear who lives in Jellystone Park, and he is smarter than the average bear. The mayor of the city near Jellystone has run the city government into bankruptcy, and Jellystone Park is being threatened by loggers. Meanwhile a documentary film director is filming Yogi and Boo Boo because, evidently, talking bears are a rare commodity. The humans said the movie will keep you on the edge of your seats wondering if Jellystone will survive or not. Yogi, who happens to be a bear genius, devises so many clever ways to steal pic-a-nic baskets that Yogi should get a Nobel prize for pic-a-nic basket theft. In fact, Yogi should get a nomination for an Oscar as best actor. Few bears can act as well as Yogi. Boo Boo should get the nod as a supporting actor. Yogi is not only highly intelligent, but he also possesses excellent taste. He points out that one of the things he knows in life is that real mayonnaise tastes better than low fat mayonnaise. Truer words have never been spoken--by human or bear. Jeff was teasing Mommy about how she laughed over that line, and Mommy said that you seldom see bears who make mayonnaise comparisons, and Jeff said you seldom hear bears make comments on anything because most bears don't talk. Jeff should realize that Yogi is not just any ordinary bear. He has been talking for years! This is why he is smarter than the average bear!

RED and Marmaduke: Movie Reviews

Mommy went to see a movie yesterday, and I asked her to do a quick review of it for my readers. The movie was RED. She said it was a good movie about some retired spies who had to go back to work to solve a problem. Then she said it was blah blah blah......okay, that is not officially what she said, but how good can a movie be with no dogs in it? When I learned that there were no dogs, I immediately rated it as ND--a No Dog movie. Who would want to see it? I'm amazed she wasted her time and money going to see it? Then she actually said it was good....it takes so little to please the humans.

Mommy did buy the combo (blu-ray and dvd) of the movie Marmaduke so Angel Zoom Smokey and myself got to see it. I recommend it highly. Dogs were the stars of the movie. There was even a husky in the movie! It has everything you would want to see in a movie--a Great Dane, a Collie, a Siberian Husky, a Chinese Crested, a Beagle, etc. It has my vote for the Oscar for best picture of the year. I also hope to see the cast up for some Oscars--not the humans of course, but the dogs. Marmaduke easily gave the best actor performance of the year. I laughed, I was on the edge of my paws, I munched on a rawhide bone. It was a GREAT movie with a GREAT dane in it. What more could a human want to see in a movie. I give it my 4 paws up and a wagging tail award--it doesn't get any better than that.

Marmaduke

Mommy went to see the movie, Marmaduke yesterday, and she said it was an excellent movie. The acting by the cast of dogs was truly amazing. She thinks it should get the Oscar for Best Picture, but you know that won't happen because the humans would never give the Oscar to a movie about dogs. I have to wait to see the movie when it comes out on dvd because normal, non-service dogs aren't allowed in theatres. I told Mommy I could pose as a service dog, but she said no one would believe a service dog is pulling a human into the theatre. Then she laughed. I didn't see anything particularly funny about it, but I think most humans have an odd sense of humor.

Sometimes I see things in the news that a dog just has to blog about, and yesterday was no exception. I wasn't able to write yesterday because Blogspot would not let me sign in. I wondered if it was part of a vast conspiracy on Blogspot to keep a dog from posting his thoughts to share with the world, but that is a different subject, so I'll save it for another time. Today I want to concentrate on the subject that needs input from a dog--school lunches! Food is always a subject near and dear to a dog so you can understand how this is a top priority subject for me. Most school lunches are not cooked at school anymore, and some of the adult humans are upset that there are things like chicken nuggets on the menu. They think it should be healthier food. I did my research for this blog by asking my family about school lunches when they were children. Mommy said when was young, the school cafeteria actually cooked the food. The food back then was more nutritious, and she said when you passed by the cafeteria when she was young, the smell could drive you to lose lunch that you haven't eaten yet. Her mother would have welcomed chicken nuggets because she used to volunteer at the school a lot and her observation was that most of the lunches ended up in the garbage. What are they doing to do to make them healthier, serve the children tofu and bean sprouts? I don't think I'm wrong in stating that if a dog won't eat the lunch, chances are you won't get a child to eat it either. We dogs think humans worry about things too much. Very few dogs worry about how much nutrition we are getting from our food. If it tastes good, we eat it. This leads me to wonder, why do the humans get so obsessed with these subjects. I think it is because some of the humans have a hard time admitting that there are things beyond their control. Illness and accidents are beyond their control so there has to be a reason for them--either it was what they ate or they weren't careful enough. This makes the healthy ones feel better because nothing can happen to them--they ate a healthy meal. Sure, try to eat healthy, but I think the humans would be happier if they quit worrying about everything so much. Maybe a bit of thanks for having enough food might be in order. There are children in the world who don't get enough to eat. By the way, Angel Zoom Smokey says if the kids don't want the chicken nuggets, send them to her--she loves chicken.

Royal Snakespearean Theatre---Snakes on a Plane

Today's blog is dedicated to giving credit to a lot of hard working actors and actresses from a movie made in 2006, and that movie is Snakes on a Plane. This dog is not a fan of snakes, and neither were the passengers on the plane which had more snakes than human passengers. I know many of us aren't fond of snakes, but does this mean that they shouldn't get credit for their accomplishments? I think not. Therefore, this dog is going to give them credit for their contribution to that movie. Three of the snakes in the movie were nominated for Oscars in previous movies. Veronica Viper was nominated for her work in Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. Bob Boa was nominated for that classic scene in Romancing the Stone. Connie Cobra was nominated for her wonderful performance in the movie, The Scorpion King. Sadly, although they did receive nominations for an Oscar, none of them actually won an Oscar which I suspect is because of the continuing prejudice against snakes by members of the Academy. I might add that all the snakes that were in the movie were well respected by their peers since all of them are members of the Royal Snakespearean Theatre. For those who are into classic theatre, you should see them in Hamlet. When the snake who plays Hamlet asks "to slither or not to slither, that is the question", I have yet to see a human actor who can put so much passion into the line. Sadly, despite all the snake talent, Snakes on a Plane suffered from the humans' prejudice against snakes, and if not for that prejudice, I'm sure the movie would have sold more tickets than the Titanic. I am glad that I could give the snakes their well deserved recognition even if I don't want to meet up with one of them personally.
