I know this is something that us dogs know without even giving it much thought. It is never wise to feed your paw to an alligator. On the other paw, humans seem to have more problems learning these things. Wallace Weatherholt, who worked for Captain Doug's Airboat Tours in Florida recently lost his hand to a gator while on his job. It is unlawful to feed the gators in Florida (or I suppose anywhere else) except Gatorland, where you can purchase food to feed the gators. He is being charged with unlawful alligator feeding. There are a group of gators protesting the charges because they happen to enjoy having the humans feed them. This law worried me because what if the stupid humans ban other humans from feeding dogs? My humans always provide me with food, and it would be a lot of trouble for me to drive through drive-thru to order food for myself. I say if the man wants to feed a gator his hand, it really is not the government's business. I'm not so sure he meant to do it, but I still think it is a very silly law! Here is the link to the story:

Movie Review: Prometheus
Today I am going to do a movie review of Prometheus, which is the reason I did not get to write a blog yesterday. I was busy going to the theatre. Before I get into the movie review, the film company ran this horror movie "short" that has a man and he turns into a bird. My regular readers who know my thoughts on birds, can imagine how scary that was for me. I almost got up and left the theatre, but I stayed because I know how much my readers depend on my movie reviews. Prometheus is the prequel to the movie, Alien, which came out many years ago. It is about a couple of historians and scientists who think that aliens came to Earth years ago, and left an invitation for the humans to come and see them. Personally, I think they were silly because if they had the advanced technology and they had helped to create the humans, you would think they would stop in and see what is going on with them, or maybe they aren't around anymore. Either way, this dog would not waste time and money going to see them. Of course, if the characters in the movie thought that way, there would be no movie so they didn't see it the way I do. Anyway, they made it to the destination, and you'll have to watch the movie to see what happens when they get there. I really don't care if this spoils the movie or not, but I do have to give out one spoiler alert. After all the money, time and trouble to get there, they found that the line in drive thru at McDonalds was even longer than the ones on Earth. All that way for a fast food meal and they still had to wait. This caused a lot of tension among the characters in the movie.
I give this movie a tail wag and a couple of paws up which is about a 6 out of 10 on the human movie scale. Considering that I hated the Alien movie, then that is actually a stellar rating from me. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Dog At the Door?
For those of my readers of the dog persuasion (yes, I'm sure there are some humans reading this too), I'm sure you have been in a position where you are outside and wish to come in. Since I know how to open the door, this is a simple task for me, but not all dogs know how to open the door and I can only open it from one side. I can't pull it, but I can push it open after I turn the knob. How do you let the humans know you are ready to come inside again? Do you scratch at the door, bark, cry, or perhaps jump up and down at a window? There is an easier way-with a pet doorbell, the key on your collar will activate a doggy doorbell to let your humans know that you want to rejoin them inside. As long as you have humans who know how to operate the door (all of us dogs know that some of them aren't that smart), you can be allowed in without having to go to so much trouble. Here is more information about the product.

Houses Making People (And Dogs) Fat
I can honestly say that I don't have a problem with being fat. I happen to be the right size. My humans can't say the same thing though. This is a problem with many of the humans, and I am happy to be able to solve this problem for them with this blog. I happened upon an article today on the Internet entitled, "Is Your House Making you Fat"? This means that it isn't the humans' fault when they are fat....we now know that the house they are living in is to blame. I have long thought that there is a conspiracy involving houses and other buildings causing problems for the humans, but this is the first time anyone has had the guts to say it. It makes perfect sense to me. I personally have known people that can eat everything in sight and they are thin. Some of the fatter people eat far less than those thin people, and yet they are fat. Now they know that it is their house causing the problem for them. I think that the humans need to sit their houses down and tell them to quit making them fat. Houses know they can get by with it because, up until now, no one suspects that they are the problem. Now that we know, we can make the houses get with the program and quit making the humans (and dogs) fat. I don't think we should stop at houses. If houses have to stop making the humans fat, then other buildings will try to take over. It is about time we tell those buildings that they are in big trouble, and we know what they are up to. I'm glad I am able to stop this problem. Here is the web address so you can read more about houses making people (and dogs) fat:

Lindsay Lohan: Always in Trouble
I wonder if my readers were as shocked as I to see Lindsay Lohan in the news again. Who would have thought that she would be back in trouble again? Okay, I think most of us thought that she would be. It does not take a psychic to predict that Lindsay Lohan would manage to be back in court. In fact, I think the news story is getting a bit old so I have an idea....I think that once a week, there should be a story in the news about Lindsay Lohan getting into trouble. The news sources can just run the same one every week since all of them seem to be similar anyway. This way, it will free time for the reporters to report on more interesting news. This time she didn't do the required community service, but she said it was not fulfilling work. I guess someone should tell her that is the idea....if it were fulfilling work, it would not be punishment. If I were the judge, I would put her in jail because I think by now it is obvious that she is not going to go along with anything else with which they sentence her. Perhaps jail might give her some time to reflect on how to avoid getting into trouble in the future, but somehow I doubt it. I think reflection like that requires having a brain.
