Movie Review: Gladiator

I have decided to do a movie review of a movie that is not recent, but it is a good movie none the less. That movie is Glad I Ate Her (or Gladiator). This movie is about a dog who met a chicken. The chicken was, as is true of most birds, highly annoying and also a villian. The dog tried to be nice, but sometimes you just can't get along with a chicken. The chicken kept strutting around the chicken coop saying things like "I'm a bird, deal with it dog", and also, "my feathers are cuter than your fur". However, the dog reached the limit of his endurance when the chicken threatened to tell the humans that the traditional Sunday dinner is not chicken, but dog. That was the last straw so the dog killed the chicken and ate her. Of course, this is how the movie got its title, "Glad I Ate Her". I give this movie 4 paws up, a tail way and some kisses. It was so good it won the Colonel Sanders Award of Excellence. The movie gets a 10 out of 10 on the human movie scale. If you haven't seen it yet, get it on blu-ray or dvd. You'll be glad you did, and I suggest you go out for dinner afterward...KFC would be a perfect choice!

Movie Review: American Reunion

I'll admit that I wasn't sure that this movie would be a good sequel to the American Pie movies largely because there have been so many "direct to dvd" movies made from this franchise. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it was very funny, and I enjoyed it. No, it is not "best picture" quality, but it is a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, and I think most people who like the American Pie series will enjoy it. The class of 99 gets together for a reunion after about 13 years. One of my human brothers was in the class of 98 so Mommy still thinks of that age group as "kids", but I suppose since most of them are in the 30's now, they aren't exactly children anymore. Of course, if Mommy admits how old they are, that would make her age much older too, and most of the humans don't seem to enjoy getting older. Anyway, I recommend this movie if you want to see a comedy in which you can just sit back and laugh. I do not recommend it for young viewers because there are some scenes that would not be wise for them to see. I give this movie 4 paws up which is a 6 out of 10 on the human movie scale.

Must See Movie. Cats and Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore

Mommy went to see a movie yesterday; and of course, there was no problem with deciding which movie to see: it was Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. I would have liked to review this movie for my readers, but I was unable to because dogs are not allowed in theatres. I ran for President in 2008 to end this type of discrimination against dogs, but as my pals are well aware, the election was rigged in favor of the humans. My dog pals had to bring a pencil to write in my name--they left it off the ballots---can you believe it? However, the constant discrimination against myself and my fellow dogs is a topic for another blog. I know my readers want to know how the movie turned out. The plot of the movie was that one rogue cat agent, Kitty Galore, came up with an evil plan to make dogs and humans lose their bond of love. The other cats then teamed up with dogs to stop Kitty Galore because cats love their humans as much as dogs do even if many of them don't like to show it. There was also a pigeon. I think he was dinner for the cats after the filming---at least that is what this dog is going to believe. I think birds were created to be dinner. Anyway, it is a good movie for the humans who like dogs and cats. (By the way, dogs and Cats would have been a better title.) I look forward to seeing this movie when it comes out on DVD or blu ray. I think the humans should spring for the blu ray. We dogs are so good looking that hi def is always a good plan.

Visit My Blog for a Chance to Win a DVD--White Fang

Today I have a big announcement for my readers. I will be giving away a a DVD with 9 episodes of the television series, White Fang. This is the story of a boy and his wolf dog, and it takes place in the Rockies. Move over Lassie because this dog is just as helpful as Lassie, but he reminds me of looking at myself in a mirror, and I like to look at myself in a mirror. That dog in the mirror is always mimicking me so it is good that I realized that I can't blame other dogs for being like me--I am a doggy role model. This DVD comes with a music CD of classical "nature" type music which I am hoping does not involve birds. As my loyal readers are already aware, I am not a fan of birds. For those who want to know how to enter and any rules involved in my contest, here they are:

All you have to do to win this prize is come to my blog and post a comment on any blog written between July 19 and July 31. One entry per day is allowed. The contest will last until July 31, I will announce the winner in my blog in early August, and the person can send me their email address to arrange shipment, which of course will be free. This contest is open to people in the United States and Canada. I am posting a photo of the DVD on my blog so you can see what you are entering to win. This is my way of saying thank you for visiting my blog and reading the wisdom of Demon Flash Bandit, professional dog.

Now you know what my blog topic for today is about: being a professional dog. We all know that there are regular ball players who play the game because it is fun, but you have the pros who play the game to make money and it is their profession. I happen to be talented at being a dog, and I'm a real pro at it. Being a dog is a lot harder than it sounds. You have to learn when to bark, whine, give the sad, puppy dog face to get treats, and some dogs even have to do tricks to get treats. That doesn't work around here. Mommy was teaching Angel Zoom Smokey to "shake" and Angel will shake, but she keeps looking around and she told me she is getting tired of looking for milkshakes that never appear. Did I mention that both Angel Zoom Smokey and myself like ice cream?

I am so good at being a dog that I plan to start a school for other dogs training them to be a more professional dog. Some dogs are really getting the short end of the stick, but they are so excited about getting a stick that they let the humans take over. We dogs are the ones in charge, and some dogs forget that. This is why I am starting my school for dogs. I will teach them that they are really in charge and show them how to get the humans to do things their way. I plan to call it the Demon Flash Bandit School For Sophisticated Dogs.

Be sure and visit my pal's new website, http://www.huskydigs.com/

I think you will enjoy the site.
