Special Dog Furniture

I am a good dog who allows my humans to use their own furniture when I'm not using it. I did find an interesting website to share with other dogs. The address is: http://www.bigdogbeds.com/ . This site has all sorts of sofas and beds designed specifically for dogs. I will warn you that the furniture on the site is so nice, you might have to make sure the humans know to stay off a dog's furniture. I can just picture myself curled up or stretched out on the dog bed watching a good movie like Snow Dogs or Eight Below. Of course, I would need some tasty dog treats to eat while I watch--perhaps some Yummy Chummies or some Milkbones. Yes, that would be very enjoyable. I have to go now, and make sure my humans see this website. I haven't checked the prices because I am worth whatever they are charging. After all, I am one of the family dogs!!! 3-D Televisions

Mommy went to see the movie, Dinner for Schmucks, and she said it was a very funny movie. I think this movie is going to be very popular with cats when it arrives on DVD since one of the characters dresses dead mice. I think a cat would probably find it interesting to eat a mouse that is wearing a suit. I wonder--do you think the other cats who haven't seen the movie will believe him?
Charles the Cat: I ate a mouse yesterday who was wearing a tuxedo and top hat. Ginger the Skeptical cat: Sure you did, and I ate one wearing pajamas.
Of course, Ginger did not eat a mouse wearing pajamas, but there is no way she is going to look like she is eating ordinary mice when Charles is eating high class mice.

My subject for today is movies made in 3-D. Since 3-D is becoming very popular, and many movies are being made in the 3-D format, it makes this dog wonder if the humans are going to spend the money to buy the new 3-D televisions that are on the market now. Personally, this dog prefers the old technology where you don't need to buy a new television, but the humans have to wear really silly looking paper glasses that make their dogs laugh and laugh. It also makes me wonder if humans like my Mommy will be willing to wear the glasses if she bought the television. Mommy hates to wear reading glasses and most of the time she doesn't wear them which explains why there are missed typos in my blog because she won't wear the reading glasses. It also makes me wonder about dogs. Can we see the movie in 3-D if we wear the glasses? I'm not sure I would like to wear glasses. I think I might have the same attitude as Mommy. Will they even manufacture 3-D glasses that will fit dogs? It is sad that I can't see Snow Dogs or Eight Below in 3-D. I think those are both wonderful movies.

Ice Blanket-Wonderful Invention

Mommy brought home a product that this dog truly loves. It is called an ice blanket, and when it comes out of the freezer, it makes a dog feel like he is spending a day in Alaska. I'm sure there are some dogs who won't appreciate the cold, but if a dog is a Siberian Husky, like myself, cold is something we love. Mother Nature is not being very cooperative with the weather now. It isn't like those lovely days in January when there is snow on the ground, and a dog can get cold just by stepping outside. Now the temperatures have gotten hot and I'm not a fan. Sure, I put up with heat, and I always spend a lot of time thanking that wonderful human who invented central air conditioning, but it just is not like a wonderful day in January. The ice blanket was meant for ice chests and coolers, but Mommy puts in in the freezer and when it gets super cold, she lays it on me while I am resting, and I LOVE the feel of the ice. I think it is a touch of heaven right here on Earth. It is supposed to be non toxic, but Mommy only puts it on me when she is around just in case I decide to eat it and it isn't non toxic.

I saw in the news that a fellow dog, Snoop Dogg, is President of the Serious Pimp clothing line. It is good to see a fellow dog do well. Most dogs who are successful usually have to turn to show business--like DJ and Cody who played Demon in Snow Dogs. Daddy had to have a blue eyed husky who looked like Demon after he saw Snow Dogs which is how I came to live with my humans so I have to say that I am so grateful Disney made that movie. However, a dog does like to have more career choices than being a movie star. I think that opens the door for dogs like myself to be taken more seriously in the world of business. Sure, show business is great, but not all dogs want to chase a chuckwagon through the kitchen. Some of us have bigger plans.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday, and before I conclude this blog, I have a few important things to share with my readers: arf, bark, howl, yap, yap, arf. Yes, it is nice that the humans can't understand dog.

ComicCon: Dogs Should Be Allowed to Attend

My human brother, Jeff is not here with me today. He is at the ComicCon in Novi, Michigan. He goes there every year. They have celebrities there to sign autographs. This dog has to announce that I am not impressed with the celebrities that come to the convention. The dogs from Snow Dogs and Eight Below have never made an appearance to give their pawtographs nor have the dogs from Air Bud, Air Buddies, or any of the other movie dogs that this dog would like to meet. Adam West will be there. Do the people running that convention really think television's Batman or mayor from Family Guy is better than a celebrity dog? If I was going to book a character from Family Guy, I would have booked Brian or if I was going for a human, that Stewie character. Do you know how hard it is for a baby to play that role? Most babies aren't able to do much of anything so Stewie's character is truly gifted.

I hate to report this fact, but dogs aren't allowed at the ComicCon. Yes, you read correctly--dogs are not allowed (unless of course, they are service dogs). I suppose this is why they don't book celebrity dogs--they are biased against dogs. They let all sorts of weird looking characters into the convention. Mommy says she has seen Storm Troopers and even Darth Vader, but dogs aren't allowed! If you ask me, the people running it must be insane. Who would want to let someone as evil as Darth Vader enter and refuse entry to a super cute dog? Maybe he is using that mind power Jedi trick on them or maybe they are afraid of him, but it is wrong--just plain wrong. One day, I am going to have a DogCon, and I'm not going to let the humans enter unless they are service humans. That will teach the humans to be prejudiced against us dogs.
