Yesterday I wrote a blog about fish going to school, and I said that I have no idea how the human schools are doing, but then proceeded to discuss fish in school. Today I have an answer for the question of how human schools are doing educating the humans. They are doing a lousy job at least when it comes to history. I happen to know that all humans living in the United States are required to take American history before they graduate from high school. Yet just yesterday, Representative Peter King, gave his opinion of the Wall Street protestors. I will share the link so you will know that I'm not putting words in his mouth or making up what he said. Here is the link:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/07/peter-king-occupy-wall-street_n_1000318.html
If he had learned anything in taking American history (and I am going to assume he was skipping class or sleeping), he would know that the founding fathers were considered "anarchists" too. There was a time when the United States was a British colony, and as such was under the jurisdiction of King George III. There were a number of colonists who did not want to continue to be under the rule of King George III so they had a few protests which resulted in the Revolutionary War and the end of British rule. I'm not saying that the Wall Street protestors are right or wrong, but it is an American tradition for the people to be able to say what they think. As long as the protests are peaceful, then I don't see a problem with them. Of course, the protestors have a lot more people who agree with them out there and that is probably what scares some of the politicians--the ones that support the big corporations (most of them Republican). I would suggest that perhaps they start listening to the people and then maybe the protests will end. As it is, the protests are now being staged in other cities so they seem to be gaining momentum. I wish the schools would do a better job and then a dog would not have to waste a blog writing this, and I could write about important stuff--like if Dingo is planning to come up with any new flavor dingo bones. I do have priorities, but the humans obviously don't!

Common Sense?
As a dog who lives in Michigan, I am appalled to report that the Republican party in the state of Michigan wants to put teachers in jail if they use a computer at the school to send an email that has anything to do with their union. Of course, teachers using a school computer to update their Facebook account or play games is okay so it isn't that they are concerned about wasting "company time". I'm not quite sure why the Republican party is so scared of the unions. Unions are supposed to be about fair wages and safe working conditions. I suppose most of the Republicans would rather have slaves teaching the children. That would be an advantage for them since slaves could teach the students to be good slaves for future business owners. You don't have to agree with a dog about this issue, but there is one thing that bothers me, and that is just a common sense fact. Considering that Michigan has considered releasing prisoners early due to overcrowding, it doesn't make any sense to put teachers in jail and possibly end up costing the state a lot of extra money not to mention the possibility of having to let murderers and rapists go free. If this is the kind of "common sense" coming from the Republican party, then they have none.

I Need Insurance
Last night I was staring at my tail, and I realized that I have a beautiful tail. It is long and furry, and it wags when I want it to. I wondered what would happen if some unfortunate accident caused me to lose my tail. This is why I got up early this morning and placed a call to Lloyd's of London to check into an insurance policy for my tail. While I was on the phone, I decided to insure my klondike bar too. I won't go into what my klondike bar happens to be, but I bet you get the idea. I think I would more upset if I lost it than if I lost my tail. It also makes me laugh every time I hear the commercial, "What would you do for a klondike bar?". I would insure my beautiful blue eyes, but I have never heard of eyes changing color unless it a human who has to use drops for glaucoma. I decided to insure both the tail and the klondike bar for 1 million dollars. Sure, they are worth more, but you do have to pay the premiums, and the premiums go up the higher the insured value. I haven't bothered to get life insurance because I am irreplaceable. Besides, it isn't like I would be around to buy dingo bones with the money anyway. Speaking of dingo bones, Mommy bought Angel Zoom Smokey and myself some small chicken flavored dingo bones, but they aren't as good as the regular larger dingo bones with the meat inside. Those bones are heavenly. I have tried the new stackers burgers from Burger King, and I want to let everyone know that the bacon makes the burgers a lot better. Angel Zoom Smokey and myself both LOVE bacon. I don't think Burger King could make a better burger unless they made a bacon burger with bacon on it. I saw on the news today that 46% of Republicans polled in Mississippi think interracial marriage should be illegal. As a dog who is both black and white, I think these humans are silly. I think some of the dogs with varying colors are some of the prettiest dogs there are. You would think the humans would realize that. I suppose I have the attitude that you should allow other dogs to live their own lives and mind your own business. I have noticed that the humans who are always trying to tell everyone else what to do are usually the ones who have the most self created problems. I can only assume that is because they are too busy trying to live other people's lives instead of living their own. I hope all my readers have a good weekend, and be sure and stop by my human brother's site, www.silverscreenhub.com He puts a lot of work into the site, and he has had the good taste to give me my own movie review page. My Side: I Want to Keep the Candy!
After reading my blog article yesterday, I have been getting lots of pawmail supporting my opinion from the political right. Several Conservatives have told me that I should run for political office. I know this is true, but I have to admit that my motives for giving the little human puppies job applications instead of candy was merely out of my own self interest. This dog LOVES candy, and does not like to see my humans give it away on Halloween. I have been trying to get into candy since I was a little puppy, and believe me; I do not enjoy seeing it given to a bunch of little deadbeats just because they put on a cute costume--and some of the costumes aren't even cute. Some of them dress up as monsters and vampires! Sure, the fans of the Twilight movie series might be excited to see vampires at their door, but this dog is not a fan of them. The way I see it, vampires are villains. Of course, I am not only smart, but sane as well. If a vampire tries to bite this dog's neck, he will find that I have some sharp teeth myself, and I'm not afraid to use them if the "human" tries to bite me. Anyway, it is nice to get compliments from the Republicans that read my blog. I appreciate your kind comments.
For those members of the Tea Party who wrote, let me tell you that I am honored. However, you are a third party who does not really stand much of a chance so I will only get back to you if you win--this dog has napping to do and can't be taking risks with losers.
For those Democrats who wrote in defense of child labor laws and who told me that I am wrong, I can only add that I agree with them totally on dog labor laws. This dog is not about to mush in some race unless I am racing to Burger King, and I would prefer my BK be delivered. I am much too important to be going to get it myself. I do appreciate that your party watches out for us dogs, but I've been able to fend for myself since I was about 2 months old. Some of these human puppies who come to the door are over 3 years old and still can't take care of themselves. I was amazed at how long the human puppies get to mooch off their parents.
In response to the Green Party, if you would get rid of the birds as I have suggested many times, there wouldn't be any problems with the environment.
Now that I have covered the political agenda from all sides, it is time for my nap.
The only side this dog is taking is the side that lets me keep my candy!
