Film Director: Demon Flash Bandit

I have mentioned in the past that dogs are better actors than humans and should star in more movies. However, now there is a product that can help a dog go beyond merely acting and into directing, producing, or even just being a cameradog. That product is from the nice people at dogtek. They sell a video cam for dogs that takes movies as the dog walks around. This opens up a new opportunity for me, Demon Flash Bandit, to become a director. I have some great ideas for a movie, and I even have a brother who has a movie script in the works. I think I'll have him write a script that stars me and maybe Angel Zoom Smokey. However, since Angel Zoom Smokey bit my paw earlier today in a scuffle over the ownership of some Arbys roast beast, I might not let her be in my movie. I will probably make an epic type of movie--you know something on the level of Lord of the Rings, but maybe only lasting 15 or 20 minutes. If I go much longer than that, most dogs are going to want to stop watching to take a nap so you have to keep it down to a reasonable amount of time. In fact, the humans have even less of an attention span. If it goes more than 5 minutes, the average human will be jumping around in their chairs acting stupid. Okay, that is not true. The average human starts acting stupid even before they sit down to watch--it does not take 5 minutes. Anyway, the address for the pet cam is:
http://www.dogtek.com/eyenimal/?utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CImYoZystKwCFcvJKgodpEcuHw
With this web cam, I could start my own television program: Funniest Dog Videos. I bet it would be an awesome television show!

Letter From Johnny Depp

Since the new movie, Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides came out this weekend, I thought it would be a good time to share this letter I got from my celebrity pal, Johnny Depp. I am happy to be Johnny Depp's pal, and he is truly a great guy. Maybe one day when he isn't so busy, we can go to Burger King together. Being a big star, I'm sure he must be used to elegant restaurants like Burger King. Here is the letter:

Dear Demon Flash Bandit,

Once again, one of my movies is on the big screen, and I am so glad I got the part of Captain Jack Sparrow in the original movie since I know you were up for the part. I know it was a stroke of luck that you chose not to take the role because you didn't want to wear a pirate's hat, and you said filming the movie would interfere with your napping. I know that the women say I'm handsome, but I have to admit that if you were willing to wear the hat, you would have been one gorgeous pirate. I cannot compete with your gorgeous blue eyes or that lovely curly tail you have. I just want to let you know that I have done my best to portray Captain Jack Sparrow in a way befitting the honor of taking the role from you. I can only hope that one day I will have the honor of playing a dog--that is every actor's dream.

Your Pal, Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow)

I want my pals to know that I think Johnny Depp did an excelllent job of portraying Captain Jack Sparrow, and I am glad he got the part because I really hate to interrupt my nap time with work.

Quiznos: Providing Work for Unemployed Cats

Unemployment is a hard thing to live with. It is hard enough for the humans to find new jobs, but when you are an unemployed cat, the job hunt is much more difficult. This is why I was pleased to see the Quiznos ad that has the singing cats. Those cats used to be in the musical, Cats, but are now out of work. Sure, some cast members can go on to land even better jobs, but there really isn't a lot of work for cats. It is the same for the Phantom of the Opera. How many job openings do you see for Phantoms? When these shows can no longer employ these cast members, they face a life of unemployment and sometimes even homelessness. This dog thinks that the large amount of cats at animal shelters can be traced back to them losing them jobs in the show, Cats. Yes, life in the entertainment industry is difficult, and not everyone can achieve the success that I have achieved. Some pets just don't have the natural talent that some of us were lucky enough to be born with. However, that does not mean these animals can't do other jobs. There are plenty of jobs for pets even if it is just making their humans feel loved. Quiznos has gotten some criticism for using the cats--some of the humans do not like the cats commercial, but I say thanks Quiznos for employing so many out of work cat actors. You are one cool chain, and if you send over a sandwich, I will eat it, and let my readers know if it is delicious. I can't say that if I haven't tried one. I'll be home for the rest of the day. I'm waiting for my sandwich!
